Why Work With Us
At Huckestein we foster a culture of discipline and integrity that permeates every facet of our business.
Every day we deliver mechanical solutions with superior customer service and quality. Each customer relationship is based on mutual trust and respect. To achieve a deep understanding of your facility and needs, and ultimately design and deliver the best mechanical solutions for you, we ask the right questions. And then listen.
We ask the right questions
-
When we learn about your facility and needs, we ask:
- What is important to you?
- What is the purpose of your system?
- How is it designed to meet this purpose?
- Have the requirements for your HVAC system changed?
- Is your mechanical system operating as designed?
- Has your system been maintained as required?
- Does your staff understand how your system works and its needs?
- What is your long-term business strategy?
- What are your capital constraints?
- Is there a mechanical capital plan in place for your facility?
-
Value elements in our “root cause” approach include:
- Increasing equipment uptime
- Increasing reliability
- Creating a better working environment for employees
- Extending equipment life
- Providing resources for capital needs
- Increasing asset value and maximizing return on assets, and
- Reducing a building’s energy, carbon footprint and operating costs

We fix the problem
At Huckestein our goal is to fix your problem, not simply treat the symptom. Our technicians and project managers have honed their diagnostic skills over decades of experience on thousands of mechanical systems. They possess technical know-how to service the equipment and, more importantly, the customer familiarity to ask the pertinent questions. This means a visit with a Huckestein technician for a failed motor may include a walk around the supply system or a conversation about operating methods — not a quick sale replacement quote. For while we build upon the experience of the past, we don’t simply reapply cookie-cutter solutions to your specific needs and issues.
We’re with you for the long haul
Our service model is built around comprehensive life cycle management of your facility. Regardless of where we enter the cycle, our first priority is to learn your facility and create a strategic mechanical systems plan that complements your business vision and needs. We then become your partners, helping you to understand your mechanical system and execute a cost-effective plan for achieving and maintaining the best facility long-term.

Your data belongs to you
A key differentiator to working with Huckestein is how we treat the information we gather for the sites we maintain. From the day we start, we compile meticulous records on each piece of equipment at each location. You can view your service history through a web portal, facilitating collaborative capital planning and decision-making. And while you entrust us to maintain accurate records of your mechanical systems, the information we build belongs to you. We’re industry leaders in giving you real-time insights into your mechanical assets. We want to keep you as our customer because you are delighted with our work. We don’t hold your information hostage.
-
We begin with the end in mind
At Huckestein, we believe the most important step in defining the work scope for a project is starting with a clear vision of the desired outcome. It’s asking the right questions, defining your needs, considering your wants, and understanding your operating environment upfront that enables us to design and execute a solution that meets your facility’s needs efficiently—getting the job done right, the first time.
-
We keep our promises
As an integrity-driven contractor, we value relationships with all our stakeholders. Our word is out bond, and customer satisfaction is our number one priority. Fulfilling our promises and commitments to customers always takes priority over making money. When you engage with us, we get the job done right; if we go over budget, we still do the work without cutting corners. This pride in our work directly translates to the positive attitude of our employees and the top-quality work we deliver.

At Huckestein, our job is to deliver your mechanical solutions in a way that's most convenient for you. You’re tasked with many responsibilities at your facility. We make sure you have one less thing to worry about by performing our work in a way that is safe, cost-effective and efficient. We start by being a phone call away 24/7/365 for any repairs you need. When servicing your facility, we minimize disruption and keep you in the loop with open communication and our best-in-class asset tracking software.
We save you time and money
Studies show that planned maintenance is the most cost-effective way to operate a building. The U.S. Department of Energy found that by focusing on efficient operations and maintenance practices, their calculated savings ranged from 3 to 40 percent with an average of 15 percent. Furthermore, they found that effective O&M measures cost 20 times less and achieve roughly the same savings as retrofitting equipment to achieve similar results. Through our mechanical services, our customers have experienced up to a 75% reduction in unplanned repairs and up to a 46% reduction in installation costs over traditional approaches.
“Up to 50% more energy can be saved with proper installation, sizing, and maintenance of commercial central air conditioning and heat pumps.”
– Consortium of Energy Efficiency (CEE)
“[Operations & Maintenance] measures cost about 20 times less and achieve roughly the same energy savings as energy efficiency upgrades.”
